Did you ever notice that we spend most of our lives trying to speed things up? “I can’t wait for the end of the day.” “is the weekend here yet?” “I just wish it was [insert important date in the future].” I don’t know what made me think of this but I do it all the time. People say things like “life is short” if so, why are we trying to fast forward through it? I’m not saying that every excruciatingly bad day we have should be savored, but try to slow things down. Take in the everyday, on shitty days try end it on a good note or at least try to think of something semi-positive.
I’m not the biggest optimist, in fact I usually wish the day was over from the moment I wake it. I just don’t wanna end up like Adams Sandler in “Click” (crappy ass movie btw) realizing I sped through life wondering where the hell the time went.
